Game Play:
The first player is the player to the left of the dealer and game play follows a clockwise direction. After every player had replaced the face up cards on the table in front of them with the cards from their hands (see above) the replaced cards get added to your hand, every player views his/her cards and tries to match the top card in the Discard Pile. You have to match either by the number, or higher, or by playing a value card. For instance, if the Discard Pile has a 7 displaying you can play a 7 or any higher number than the 7 card that is an 8 or higher. You can also play a value card (which can reset the number to 1 if it says Reset. You may also decide to take a chance and draw a card from the draw pile even if you have a playable card in your hand, since nobody knows that you got a playable card in your hand and it is within the rules.
Playing the cards in your hand are more flexible than those on the table. (See example later). Note for example that even if you have an 8 card available to place on the 7 card but you want to play an even higher number you may play the highest number in your hand which may be as high as 15.
The basic rule of the game is that you may play the same number or higher (and not lower) than the top displaying card on the Discard Pile. You can only play a lower number once a Reset value card has been played.
Depleted Draw Pile
At any time, if the Draw Pile becomes depleted and no one has yet won the round, take the Discard Pile leaving the top 2 cards, shuffle the rest, and turn it over to regenerate a new Draw Pile. Place the remaining old draw pile cards on top of the new draw pile and continue with the game. See the YouTube Game for an example of this.
Alternative Gameplay:
There may be more than 5 players that want to play, 6 or even 7 players. If there is a second deck available it can be merged with the original deck of cards and more players can join. However if only 1 deck is available the number of cards on the table can be reduced to 6 (3 face down and 3 face up as opposed to figures 1 and 2) on the table and 5 cards to hand for every player. Game continues as usual
